Chivalry Music & Internet Publishing offers economical site hosting and design services to Celtic, "period" and folk musicians. We also understand the demanding lifestyle of traveling musicians, and provide services such as ongoing maintenance (updates) to your Web site, CD sales and distribution and e-mail boxes that you can access from any Web-connected computer.

We offer complete Web site design services, but will also host pages created by you.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Graphics creation and manipulation

• Digitization of text, photos, graphics & sound

• E-mail boxes or "ghost" forwarding
• Secure credit card sales
• Optional inclusion in Cantaria (which will boost hits)

Pricing:

There are several different options for how we can work together, depending on your needs and preferences. Here are the pre-defined packages we offer, but if you don't see what you want, talk to us. We'll be happy to work with you.

1.  Chivalry's Original Web Site Service Package for Musicians

Chivalry started out as a service to musicians to help them "get on the web."  That's still one of our main services and we are committed to continuing to provide affordable web hosting and maintenance to the folk music community.  For $350 per year you get:

• Space for a basic web site (up to 5 meg of files) housed at www.chivalry.com/yourband/ with an optional redirect of www.yourband.com if you've registered it.
• We'll add guestbook, subscribable mailing list and counter
• We will monitor your guestbook, make updates to your calendar, add new photos or sound clips as needed & do other maintenance tasks within reason. We estimate this to be about 3 hours of work per month for one web editor.
• We'll proofread and do basic editing when we add new text to your site.
• POP e-mail box such as yourband@chivalry.com  and/or a redirect e-mail address that forwards mail to one or more addresses. IE yourband@chivalry.com can actually forward messages to all individual members.
• Option of selling your CDs through the Chivalry Music catalog*

This service does not include initial design and building of your web site, or major overhauls & redesign. We'll  keep things up to date with information you provide. You don't have to know HTML at all.

Optionally, we can give you access to make changes yourself using an application like Microsoft FrontPage or Dreamweaver, but you still have us to rely on for other updates and technical help/support and advice.

2. Site Design

Every site is different and the size and scope depends on the nature of your performing group and what content you have to offer your audience. Our site design service includes consultation to lead you through the planning process of identifying your goals, audiences and content then the implementation phase of gathering the content together and designing the look and feel of the site to craft an "image" for your music.  When the site is established, we help you to market it and make it as "findable" on the web as possible.  

Our site design services start at $300 for a basic site with main page, artist bio, calendar, CD page, photos and sound clips.  For a site design price quote, please send us an e-mail and tell us a bit about yourself or your band and share your expectations and visions for a web site. 3. Domain registration
We can register a domain name such as yourband.com for $15 per year.

4.  Robust web hosting accounts

As your web site grows, so will your need for additional disk space,  tools and utilities that can best be provided by having your own hosting account.  We have packages at two levels with different amounts of disk space and bandwidth.  Details about these are available on request. 

When you move your site to a separate account, we still will provide maintenance and technical support under the yearly service agreement.
